In this aggregate planning assignment I needed to figure out whether a constant workforce plan should be used over a zero inventory plan. Upon examination of the two options, I concluded that the zero inventory plan should be used because the total cost is less than that of the constant workforce. However, if management feels dramatic changes in demand could change, resulting in a greater hire/fire cost, the constant workforce plan would look more favorable.
